A few posts below, we told you what a wonderful outdoor amenity the newly rebuilt McCarren Park Pool is for Williamsburg. After serving as a concert and party venue for several blissful years in the mid-00s, the sparkling new McCarren Park Pool is scheduled to open to the public at the end of June. The 37,9500-square-foot pool—which has been shuttered for the last 28 years—underwent a $50 million restoration, and has been turned into a giant U. Although it won’t open officially till June 28th (they’re still working at the edge of the site, and finishing some detail work), we got a sneak peek today.
