Looking for apartments in manhattan? Then how about some Omega Oil for your sun burn and your weak back?
We’ve all seen them. Ads on the side of buildings that are fading with time. Occasionally, we notice that the ads are advertising a business or product that no longer exists. When that happens, we are temporarily transported back in time – to a place where we wonder what the buildings was like back then, what the neighborhood was like back then, and even what the city was like back then.
Frank Jump has done what I have always wanted to do – chronicle the fading ads of New York City as seen on the sides of buildings. Frank’s eye is sharp in finding and capturing the images, but he goes further. He researches the ads and brings the history of that time back to us.
I strongly urge every lover of New York City to add to their knowledge and sense of lost New York by buying a copy of “Fading Ads of New York City” by Frank Jump. You can order your signed copy from Frank’s blog. Just click this linkand then click on the “Buy Now” button below the image of the book.
